Holiday! will be shot in Apulia

23rd September 2013, London.  Vertigo Films is delighted to announce that principal photography started on Holiday! on 16th September for 8 weeks on location in Italy and the UK.

 

Holiday! is a rollercoaster ride of a musical and will have you singing and dancing all the way home to some of the greatest hits from the 80s such as Human League’s ‘Don’t You Want Me Baby’, Madonna’s ‘Holiday’, Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’, and Wham’s ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go Go’ amongst many more classics.

 

This fabulous feel-good musical’s cast is led by rising stars Annabel Scholey, Hannah Arterton, and Giulio Berruti as Maddie, Taylor and Raf. They are joined by the acclaimed Greg Wise (Sense & Sensibility), one of the UK’s leading comedians’ Katy Brand and multi-award winning and Grammy nominated singer/songwriter, Leona Lewis, in her first film role.

 

After a whirlwind romance in Italy, Maddie is preparing to marry gorgeous Raf and has invited her sister Taylor to the wedding. Unbeknownst to Maddie, however, Raf is Taylor’s ex-holiday flame, and the love of her life…

 

This ultimate chick flick is directed by the StreetDance franchise hit duo, Max & Dania.  Music producer and composer, Anne Dudley, comes straight from the Academy Award winning smash Les Misérables and the choreographer, Litza Bixler, has recently worked on Cuban Fury and The World’s End.  It will be produced by Allan Niblo and James Richardson at Vertigo Films and Caroline Levy, and executive produced by Rupert Preston and Nigel Williams from Vertigo Films, Stuart Ford from IM Global and Al Munteanu from Square One Entertainment.  IM Global are handling international sales.

Holiday! will be released by Vertigo Films in summer 2014.
