The Apulia Film Commission’s D’Autore project (Quality Cinema Network) promotes quality film screening through the creation of a chain covering all six provinces of Apulia.

Now in its second two-year operating period and financed by the Apulia region using European Union funds from Axis IV of the European Regional Development Fund 2007/2013, the Quality Cinema Network supports twenty selected cinemas throughout the region with a maximum annual grant of €36,000.

In addition to promoting and publicising quality national and international film productions with meticulous schedules highlighting a wide variety of experimental films on release, the Quality Cinema Network also organises a series of events which are based on quality and authorship.

Further initiatives of the project include film presentations, meetings with directors, school educational projects, film seasons in original language and a magazine on film and visual culture.
